The vision for Boulderline Adventure Programs, first took root over twenty years ago when Richard, a Physical Education Teacher, developed and implemented an outdoor education program for area elementary schools; became involved in the Futures Dropout Prevention Program and built and ran an indoor climbing wall as part of his Physical Education character education program. Richard wanted to carry his dream beyond the educational realm and he teamed up with his wife,Tammy, a School Counselor, and they combined their love of the outdoors with their love of education. Summer day camps and overnight programs soon followed. A climbing tower was built, then a giant swing, then 1 zip line, then a course with six zip lines. Since both owners, have primarily worked with elementary students they intentional designed a zip line course that was family friendly and would provide challenges for both adults and the young adventurer. Boulderline now offers outdoor adventures for the entire family, from age five to our oldest zipper at age eighty-five.
At Boulderline we specialize in providing programs tailored for churches, camps, schools or civic organizations. Since opening, we have had the privilege of working with the following schools : Davenport Elementary, Mountain Crest Elementary, Hibriten High School German and French Exchange Programs, Freedom High School German Exchange Program; churches – Calvary Lutheran, Grace Episcopal, Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness; civic groups – Boy Scouts Troop 254, Brownie Troop 878, The Flying Dentists; and camps – Novus Way “High in the Sky” campers, Rumbling Bald Resort(summer day camp). In April 2014, we provided an annual outdoor education program for over 80 3rd graders from Mountain Crest Elementary; and a fun Saturday for the PEAK Adventure kids from Davenport Elementary. Once again we are partnering in the summer of 2015 to provide fun summer outdoor activities for the Rumbling Bald Resort Youth Camp and middle and high school campers from Novus Way .
